Parks & Fields
As an exercise of the Borough's areawide recreation powers, the Ketchikan Gateway Borough Public Works Department maintains and operates the Borough's outdoor recreation and sports facilities, including gardening and beautification, facilities maintenance, scheduling field time and preparing the fields for gameplay, and performing capital improvements throughout. For information on the Borough's indoor recreation facilities, see the Parks and Recreation page. The Borough also keeps a Recreation Map (PDF) depicting recreation resources throughout the Borough, including those maintained by the City of Ketchikan, USFS, and State of Alaska Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation.
