Playgrounds Maintained by KGB Public Works Department 

As an exercise of the Borough's areawide recreation powers, the Public Works Department maintains and operates the Borough's outdoor recreation areas and performs capital improvements throughout. For information on the Borough's indoor recreation facilities, see the Parks and Recreation page. The Borough also keeps a Recreation Map (PDF) depicting recreation resources throughout the Borough, including those maintained by the City of Ketchikan, USFS, and State of Alaska Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation.

PARKS MASTER PLAN SURVEY

In pursuit of the Ketchikan Gateway Borough Parks Master Plan, preliminary documents by Corvus Design may be found here.  A follow-up survey on the master plan is available at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JH35NGD.  The public comment period will end November 28, 2022.


Playground Reminders


Remember to keep stray animals out of the playgrounds by keeping the park gates closed at all times, except when entering and exiting.


Please keep dogs in parks on a leash and clean up after your dog to help keep the parks safe and clean.
