The Borough Assembly will hold a public hearing on February 24, 2025, at its regularly scheduled meeting at 5:30 p.m., in the Assembly Chambers, 1900 First Avenue, Suite 144, Ketchikan, Alaska 99901. The Assembly will accept public testimony, as required by Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”), on the following proposed revenue bonds to be issued by the Borough payable from Airport Net Revenue and Passenger Facility Charges, the interest on which portion of bonds will be excluded from gross income for federal income tax purposes pursuant to Section 103 and 142(a)(1) of the Code.
Project Description: To finance the following capital improvements to the Ketchikan International Airport, which together constitute the KTN Expansion Project: a 22,851 square feet expansion of the existing terminal, including renovations of interior finishes, relocation of ticket counters, security checkpoints, installation of an additional passenger boarding bridge, and hard stand improvements.
