Youth Vote Ambassador Program

Youth Vote Ambassador Recruitment

For several years the Borough Clerk’s Office has coordinated with the Ketchikan High School Government teachers to advance the Youth Vote Ambassador (YVA) Program in Ketchikan.

The YVA Program is designed to enliven the interest of young people in the political process and in their rights and responsibilities as citizens. These students assist the Borough and City Clerks offices by serving as election workers. Qualified applicants must be a high school student in good standing and at least 16 years old, be willing to attend training, and have written permission from a parent or guardian.
