South Tongass Service Area

The South Tongass Service Area is generally situated between the southeasterly city limits of the City of Ketchikan and Herring Bay with the exception of the corporate boundaries of the City of Saxman. The service area exercises fire protection and emergency medical services as well as the powers necessary and incidental for construction, maintenance, operation and regulation of a water supply, treatment and distribution system, including hydrants.
